This summer we went to the White Oak Lavender Farm at a local winery. When there we made firefly catchers, we had lavender ice cream and lavender lemonade. We listened to some music and played some games. We even went to the petting zoo.
Then when dusk happened we all worked to catch as many fireflies in our jars as we could. Then everyone at the event gathered together and we released our fireflies all at once. It was a pretty awesome event. I hope to be able to go back next year.
