Just a cute picture of Emmett in a basket.

Virginia Beach Trip July 18, 2020

We decided to take a quick weekend trip to Virginia Beach.

It was good to get outside and play in the water and the sand.  Grace especially loved the water and Glen really loved the sand.
In the evening we all cuddled on the bed and watched a movie on Matt's computer or we played Quirkle.
It is always fun to take pictures at the fun sights around Virginia Beach.  We passed his school of fish to get to the beach every day so we decided to join them for a picture.
Here is Glen, happy and in his element, making sand castles...so that he can destroy them later :)
Many, many sandcastles to destroy!

Such a beautiful sight!
Grace and I spent a lot of time swimming and floating in the water.  It was so nice and relaxing!

Grace really liked riding her wave board into the shore.  She usually did a really good job with it.

Here, Glen and I are floating and swimming in the ocean and Grace is coming to join us.  I am so glad that the kids both like these activities.
Here is another picture with that school of fish.  I told you, we passed them many times each day to get to the ocean.  So we got many pictures with them!
On one of our walks around town we found this very cool LOVE sign.  So I will end with the kids that I love, during the family time that I love, on a trip that I love, standing in front of a sign that says love.

My Children (Furry and otherwise) July 13, 2020

I now have children (Grace and Glen), children with scales (Comet and Golfball), and children with fur (Emmett and Penny).  Here are a few pictures of some of my furry and otherwise children :)

Grace and our two kittens (Penny is in the front and Emmett is behind her next to Grace's cheek).
Grace with Penny.
Glen with Penny.

The kids are loving having the kittens around (the kittens are loving it or maybe they are just tolerating it :)

Secret Garden July 7, 2020

Two fun surprises that we had with our new house are:

1.  A neighbor to our backyard has 4 children.  The children are as follows, one girl is a year older than Grace, one girl is a year younger than Grace.  One boy is a year younger than Glen, and one boy is about 3 years younger than Glen.  So far they have been fast friends and I am so very grateful for that.

In the picture you can see the girl that is a year younger than Grace helping us out with some shoveling.

2.  We have a treeline in our yard.  It looks like that is where our property stops.  However if you walk behind the treeline you will find that there is a six foot gap between the treeline and the fence.  So the kids will often run back there and have a secret club house, or dig for dinosaur bones.  It is there place to play and dig and discover.  I am surprised that it is there, but I am so glad that we have it.

Protective Lions July 2, 2020

A very cute picture of Glen, Grissom, and Grace at the outdoor steps of Eastern Mennonite University.  To me this looks like they are pretending to be lions that you could find right outside of a library or other important building.

The new house June 24, 2020

I did not take too many pictures of the new house, but as you grow up you might want to look back at these and remember the house as it was when you were younger (I know that your dad loves to do this with his old pictures).
Here is the kitchen when it is new and clean (one of the few times that your dad and I had not filled it up with dishes or food from our massive amounts of cooking).
The music room.  Yes, we had a music room (that was also a plant room).  This is where we kept our piano, guitar, and violins.  It was nice to stand in the kitchen and hear you all practice your music.

 Part of our living room.

Eventful week June 18, 2020

The week of June 11-June 18, 2020 was a very eventful time for our family.

On June 11th we took possession of our two little kittens that a friend of ours had been taking care of till they could leave their mom.

They are Penny (the one with dark patches) and Emmett (the white and tan one).  The sisters love being with each other still.
This is Penny.  Two little kittens certainly make our house very busy and eventful.
Along with the kittens, that week we have visitors from Arkansas come see us.  Chris and Katie, Ellie, and Jackson all came and stayed with us for a week.  It was good to see them and to see Jackson for the first time.  Grace loved cuddle time with her youngest cousin as you can see from the picture.
In addition to kittens and visitors from out of state, there was one more event that happened that week.  On June 18th of 2020 we closed on a new house in Bridgewater.  We love the house, we love the schools, we love the neighborhood, it is a great move for us.  However, why does everything seem to happen in the same week?

With all that said, it was a really great week!

Crafts come out May 12, 2020

We have been at home for a long time.  For Grace, the crafts have finally come out.  Many bookmarks are being made for all family members.  I am so glad that we have been gifted so many of these craft items that are keeping her busy at this time.

Missing our teachers May 5, 2020

We can not be at school with them, but we can still send them our love.  We made a poster, took a picture, sent it into the technology person at their school, and it got placed with other pictures in a video to show the teachers love from a far.  The kids really enjoyed doing something for their teachers even if they could not be around them.
