Videos

Here are some videos of what has been happening around our house lately.

Sue, I thought you might like to hear what your piano sounds like after the move happened.

Grace has loved playing in her rocking chair.  She fell in love with rocking chairs while at Chris and Katie's during Christmas.  Only recently has she learned that she should not stand up in a chair that moves.

High 60-low 70 degree weather has let us assemble her playhouse.  This was her first time investigating it.  She loves the doors!

Haircut pictures

Grace learned a few things this weekend.  To name a few....

She can now climb up on our kitchen chairs and sit very proudly upon them
She can drink from a straw
and she has been practicing going up and down stairs quite often (especially at church)
Here are some pictures of her after her haircut
She loved playing with the blinds while Matt and I were making dinner
Happy Valentines Day!

Haircut

Saturday Matt and I took a trip to Harrisonburg.  While there we decided to finally get Grace's hair cut for the first time.  The bangs were getting long and in her eyes, and then she has this weird hairline in the back that I wanted an opinion on what we should do about it.

It was nice that they had a police car to play in while we waited.
Looking a little shabby just before the haircut.  This was during the two minutes that she allowed the cape to stay on her.
The cape was much more fun to play with (which was good since it distracted her while she got her haircut).
But she was good, she did not cry the whole time and really did not care what was happening to her hair.
No, this is not an after picture...this is actually another "before" picture.
But it was so cute I just had to add it in.
After the haircut everyone said one of two things:
1.  They never realized how shabby her hair had gotten, but she looks so much better with it all cleaned up now.
2.  She looks so much older.  To which I respond "Yes, she looks almost 15 months old now!"  ha ha ha

To those who will ask, yes I did save some of her hair and it will be going in her baby book.

Missing

Now for a very short post, because that is all that Grace is allowing me these days.

Grace is now getting all four of her one year molars.  Teething, drooling, and cuddling included.

Now for the missing part of the post...
When an item is missing from the kitchen where do I look?  The dining room?  Nope.  The Living Room?  Nope.  Any other room in the house?  Nope...
I look in the car, and I usually find success.  Grace has not really clung to an item that she has to take everywhere (except her pacifiers).  But she has discovered that she likes to play with kitchen items and when we leave to go somewhere if she is playing with one, it needs to go with her.

In the car I have discovered:  a plastic cup, many lids, many bowls (none of which fit the lids), straws, a spatula, and a funnel, and many others.  Add a sink and a fridge and I think that I could have a mobile kitchen :)

As mentioned in a previous post, Grace always keeps things interesting.
