pinewood derby

It was a great event.  It was a busy event.  It was an event where I got no pictures at all.  But here are the cars.  Grace made hers a unicorn derby car and Glen wanted a police car.  They both looked great and won quite a few heats.  However, in the end they did not win over all but I think that we did very well and certainly held our own in the races.

Great job to both of you!  I am so proud of your skills on making and designing the cars.

Daddy Daughter Dance

 Grace went to her very frist daddy daughter dance with Matt this year on Febuary 9.  It was the theme of a sock hop.  I wanted her to go with the theme, but I did not want to spend a lot of money of a one night dress.  So I bought a 2 dollar sheet that I made into a circle skirt.  Then I took some extra black felt which I cut a poodle out of it and sewed it to the skirt.

A black shirt, a hair ribbon that matches her skirt and a leather jacket that we just happened to have in the closet and she was all ready for the sock hop.

She had such a good time, and she even won the hulla-hoop contest!
