Christmas 2016 Part 1

 This year the family came for a Virginia Christmas!  Chris, Katie, and Ellie came from Arkansas and Grandma and Grandpa came from Iowa.  We had a great time together.  Lots of games, food, talk, and relaxing.

 Granpa's lap was a popular place to be in.  Especially when he had his iPad out and the kids could play Angry Birds.

 Glen, Grace, and Ellie playing playdoh.  The kids loved seeing each other, it seems as if no time has passed from when Grace and Ellie saw each other last a year ago.

 Grandma Sue bought the girls Goldie Blox toys.  Engineering toys for girls.  Here she is guiding Grace toward making her own Zoetrope.

It is done!

 Glen is working on his first real Lego set.  He was so proud to put together the Batman character.

 What can I say?  Grandpa Steve.....and Angry Birds!

 Glen went out for a shopping trip one morning, so Grace and Ellie got to decorate a Gingerbread house.

 They were very careful in their placement and their patterns.

 And they made sure not to use all of the candy (so they could eat some later)

I think that they both look wonderful!

Grace and Ellie, two beautiful princesses!  The action never stopped for these two, they were always on the go.

Proud Girl!  She finished her Lego tree house all by herself (I am sooooo happy she is getting to love Legos)

Christmas Fun With Grace

 This year I decided that Grace was old enough...

To go see the Nutcracker.  So we dressed up and went to see it one Sunday afternoon.  I had read Grace many of the picture books that tell of the story before we went to the ballet so she knew what to expect.  She loved it!  And after that when we would hear something on the radio that remotely involved the Nutcracker she could identify it!  She loved the Nutcracker!

She was also old enough to go to Chic-Fil-A to play bingo with Mamaw.  And there she met the Chic-fil-a cow.  What a big moment for her.

Grace is 6

 Another year has passed, and Grace is another year older.

 6 years old already!  That is hard to believe.

 She had a friends party where four of her friends came over for a play date and some cake.

 It was a very fun time.

We Sydney and Jace from Grace's kindergarten class.  We also had Mia and Gia, two friends who are older but are very special to Grace. 

 They loved to play dress up and castle!
