It all started at 7:00 am when I helped Matt load up the kids to go to Mamaw and Papaw's house so that Mamaw, Matt, and Grace could go strawberry picking. Grace had a great time (and did not eat TOO many of the strawberries)
Glen was having fun playing. He decided that yellow was his special color for the day. Yellow hat, yellow marble that he is holding to the camera, yellow truck....
Yellow flower.
After naps, the kids were off to try their had a climbing trees.
Grace is actually pretty good at it.
After supper we were invited to go to Mike and Amy's house. Amy works at a preschool and her class had raised 5 tadpoles. It was time to release them so Amy brought them home. Grace got to see them up close and personal.
Then she decided they needed a bit of tickling.
Glen was not interested in seeing the tadpoles. He wanted to play in the fort.
After a bit of work we finally got him down.
We told him that they were frogs or tadpoles.
He was determined that they were FISH! And he would not let us say any different about it.
After seeing the tadpoles we went to a friend's pond and Amy, Adam, Grace, and I released those 5 soon to be bullfrogs into the wild.
It was a great, busy, and wonderful day.

Mailbox!
Glen has a new fascination...
He will often randomly call out "mailbox" through the day
meaning that he wants to check the mailbox
He then has to check the mailbox about 10-15 times before he allows us to walk away from it
We think this obsession has stemmed from Blue's Clues.
Maybe I can get him to go along on a ride with my cousin who is a postman...
Boris
Grace has Butterscotch as her special teddy bear
But Glen has BORIS!
I have no idea how he came into our house
and I have no idea where the name Boris came from
But he is loved and cuddled
and sleeping with Glen every night!
Boris, Glen loves you very much
Glen, we love you so much too!

Great Grandpa's Hat
Matt has a Sunday hat that he likes to wear to church an other places that he might not be doing a lot of heavy labor at.
Glen got it in his mind that he also needed a hat.I remembered when we got the POD from Texas after Matt's Granfather's passing, there was a hat box. All I remembered though was that the hat was too small for Matt or I.
We kept the hat for the kids, so I decided to pull it out thinking that a large hat would be better than no hat.
What do you know, the hat fit perfectly!
He loves his hat and wears it every Sunday just like daddy!
Grace also likes the hat, but I think it is better for Glen.
Easter 2014
This is the first Easter where Grace really enjoyed coloring Easter eggs. She loved doing this activity with Adam, Austin, Jason, and Shannon.
They turned out really cool!
The Saturday before Easter we went to the local Parks and Recreation center for an Easter egg hunt. The kids had a great time looking for their eggs and both came away with about 8 eggs.
The Easter bunny came by for hugs and photos. Grace wanted to see the Easter bunny, so we walked over. We told Glen to look at the bunny and he looked at the field behind the bunny. It took me awhile to realize why he was not looking at the bunny, he was looking in the field for a "real" bunny..."hop, hop"
He was too smart to think that a man in a suit was a bunny!
Easter morning pictures. How sweet!
Glen, showing off his personality.
