We had a great time celebrating Halloween at Oakdale park this year. 

Glen was a skeleton 

Grace was a pioneer girl (wearing a dress that I wore when I was 11)

Run The Runway October 17, 202

Every year the children's museum teams up with the local airport and they have a fundraising 5k race.  They have a children's fun run and a 5K race on the runway.

This day it was cold and it was windy so we all gathered in the back of my car till the race started.  It was Amy, Carol, Austin, Glen, Grace, Matt and I.  It was quite a fun car.

I did not get pictures of the rest of us running because I was running at the time.

But I did get a few pictures of Glen running, and Matt running with him.

It was flat, fast and a lovely run in general.
 

I am glad the the family was able to enjoy this together.

Tired! September 12, 2021

After a busy day at school, I am glad that I have a comfy place where the kids can just relax and sleep.

 

 

Cross Country August 26, 2021

Grace ran cross country for the first time this year.  It was great because it started before the school year started so she entered 6th grade knowing some of the people on her team already.

It also helped with some of her physical requirements for Scouts.

Glen was one of Grace's biggest fans, and he was at all of her meets.

Grace said that they ran a lot, it helped with endurance, and there was a lot of team building.

I hope she continues with this sport.
 

First Day of School August 17, 2021

First day of school for both of my kids!

Glen is in fourth grade and his teachers are Mrs. Zuniga and Mrs. Weaver.

Grace is in sixth grade and her teachers are Mr. Hostetter (English), Mr. Fulford (Math), Mr. Amortegui (History and Science)

 I think that this is going to be a great year for both of them.

Lake Anna August 2, 2021

The Kiser family decided to have a family vacation together.  We decided to go to Lake Anna.  Which was nice because it was only 1.5 hours away, and we did not have to worry about the waves.

We rented a motorboat and a tube for a few hours and had a great time tubing.  All of us had a chance to go out on the tube.

Sometimes even two people were on the tube.

Most of the time you could find us on the water in kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards.  We went all over our area of the lake!  It was so much fun.

Glacier National Park July 11-12, 2021

Today we decided to drive a bit north (not quite to Canada, but really close) and we went to a little place called the Polebridge Mercantile.

There was a nice little park area where Glen loved to swing.  There were chickens running around.

We ordered Poutine from the food truck there, Glen ate most of it!

It was a very cute store and a nice place to have a new adventure.
